I use this product as the reliable way to speak and listen to music on my iphone.

Non powered means unlike blutooth options they are always ready to go.

Mic works well and very cost effective.

Wow, was I excited. I have been using this sort of microphones for over a year as they work wonderfully with my iphone. To make it brief, it took twice as much for it to reach me, than for it to break. It really seemed tough but with nothing different than normal use it broke in about a week.

I made a Skype call from my iPod Touch and the sound quality was good. The headphone sound was clear and the clicker worked as designed.

When I got my iPod Touch 2G I knew I needed a microphone, so I started shopping and ended buying the "Griffin SmartTalk Headphone Adapter". I am very happy with my purchase. The mic is well made, I like the cloth that covers the cord and most importantly, the sound quality is excellent; for such a mall thing. The only downside with the adapter is the extra length of cord I now have. No biggie.

this is a great item when it works (5 stars), but many times the control button fails to work, apparently because the mic connector is not making proper contact. i returned the first item but 2nd item has same problem. i was finally able to get it to work by plugging and unplugging it while rotating the connector around, found a direction that works and marked it with a magic marker - hard to believe this is necessary in 2009 with an iphone, but i was able to get it working!

the mic also seems to work...

by the way, amazon return policy is great, no complaints there
