Griffin 8127-5GSTRLNB Streamline Armband for iPod Classic and iPod 5G (Black)

Not a bad product for the relatively low price. This product has the same issue that many ipod cases have - wheel compatibility. It is very difficult, if not impossible to operate the touch wheel to adjust volume and scroll between items to select songs, albums, playlists, etc.

Other than that issue, the fit is great, it is very easily adjusted and stays snug during your workout.

Even though the product description lists compatibility with the iPod touch, there is no access to anything but the connector port. The iPod fits snugly and controls are accessible through the clear plastic cover and the arm band is comfortable and long enough for even the biggest arms. Once inside the holder, there is no provision for accessing the headphone jack which is located to the right of the connector, and the on/off switch located at the top is difficult to get at. In order to use this product with the Touch model, you will have to cut your way through the material for the headphone jack.

I completely agree that this carrier is very durable and secure. However, the major complaint I have is that it's extremely difficult to work the click wheel for spinning to find songs, albums, etc. -- the plastic protective shield is too thick. To try to spin, you have to press a bit hard to get the ipod to sense it and then it often "thinks" you are clicking (not spinning) and selects something I don't want. Forget it if you want to try to rapidly scroll through the songs. Then, when you get too frustrated and try to get the ipod out to do it yourself, it's hard to get out (I suspect this will become easier the more I use it). I am even thinking about cutting a hole in the front of it so I can actually use the wheel! I suggest trying to find an armband that has an opening for the click wheel.

I like this armband and it works perfect for me, I can adjust the band around my arm as much as I need. It keeps the ipod safe from scratches and water. I bought ir for mi ipod video 5th generation.
