Norton Internet Security 2010 1-User 3PCs

After downloading Norton Internet Security 2010, you will see that the program you just installed comes with a 15 day free trail and ALSO in the download came your new product key BUT you have to know to go into YOUR Amazon Account information, scroll down to Digital Content, then click on "Your Games and Software Library". There you will see your new product key(s).

Norton does its work efficiently without overwhelming your system. I was using TM, but it was too hungry...ate too much of my system resources.

Norton keeps getting better. They recently signed a big deal with comcast where you get norton protection for free if you are a comcast subscriber. I am not sure if it is the same package as this one however. My problems were fixed by reinstalling NIS 2010 in 7 following my upgrade solved that problem. In Windows 7, 2010 consumes more RAM, apparently, than when it runs in Vista. NIS 2010 tells you reputation-based information on all files you download from the internet, as well as if they are free of malware. It appears to have live updates available about every 25 minutes. NIS 2010 installs a search toolbar in your default browser that does its antiphishing function. You can delete it if you want. really like it! It works great, and it runs in the background well (has silent mode for full-screen applications). Supposedly NIS versions 2008 and 2009 will not work in Windows 7. On upgrading to Windows 7 from Windows Vista while NIS security is installed, the SONAR technology feature (uses reputation as well as virus definitions in scans) is a problem in that it seems to shut off too often. I had to uninstall the program and reinstall it after Windows 7 was installed per the helpful customer service people at norton. Norton suggested a fix involving first live updating and if that didn't work, restarting the system. That didn't work, since Norton reverted to the insecure state after reboot.

Scooped up this bad boy for SUPER CHEAP! I had in the past couple years witched over to AVG only b/c the price and insane computer sucking power of Norton buuuuut it would seem they got this under better control. For the most part I never even know Norton is there. I will randomly see a pop up that it's running back ground checks/scans/etc. but it never once has affected my computer in a way that has given me pause. Definitely a stellar product!
